What if I don't have a phone?

TelePorter is unique in that the system can cater for this situation. The addition of a relay unit allows for the connection of up to 32 non BT users.

Does it use a lot of electricity?

TelePorter runs off a 12 volt power supply and does not take any more electricity than a conventional door entry system. It consumes about] unit of electricity every 000 hours.

What happens if there is a power cut?

In the event of a power failure, TelePorter remains operational for at least 8 hours using the internal batteries supplied as standard in the power supply unit. Longer duration standby can be provided if required.

Will installation be disruptive?

No. TelePorter consists of the main entrance panel and the power supply unit. There is very little cabling to install, and no need to gain access to the Resident's apartments.

TelePorter has a trade PIN, which works in conjunction with a time clock allowing access to approved trades at specified times.

Is it totally secure?

TelePorter is more secure than most door entry systems, as there is complete privacy between apartments and the entrance. The door cannot be opened before the called Resident has entered the necessary code on their telephone keypad.

Is it easy to use?

TelePorter is completely user friendly, all the visitor has to do is enter the apartment number and then press call. The Resident answers the telephone in the normal way and is connected to the door panel.
